About: This is is an original advertising flyer from the Wiener Werkstätte to announce their new fabric store on I. Maysedergass, 4 in Vienna, Austria. The graphics are by Austrian designer, Dagobert Peche

The Wiener Werkstätte (Vienna Workshop) was the famed home of Viennese designer Koloman Moser and architect, Josef Hoffmann, and establish by the same in 1903. The Workshop was "dedicated to the artistic production of utilitarian items in a wide range of media, including metalwork, leatherwork, bookbinding, woodworking, ceramics, postcards and graphic art, and jewelry." The store exhibited many of Hoffman’s important designs manufactured under the Weiner Werkstatte banner.

Why We Love It: A sweet little embrace from the past, from an important institution that contributed to design decorative arts on the global stage.

Condition: Some waviness to the paper and unexamined out of the frame. Paper has some yellowing but this is a very bright and clean example.

Dims: Frame: 8.75” W x 10.75” H. Site 5.5” W x 7.75” H
