Set of Foundry Molds

$195.00

About: This is a set of three gear form foundry molds in various sizes and orientations for use as mold positives in the industrial casting process. They are made of wood and retain their original black paint. Each has indexing numbers and one with a numbered nameplate. c. 1940s

Why We Love It: Foundry molds are fun relics from the past (now that CNC machining has taken center stage) and make great objects of interest. They can often be abstract but these gear molds are the perfect scale for displaying on a table top or to hang on the wall. Priced as a set of three.

Condition: Showing age related cracks and some teeth with splits.

Dims: The largest, 11.5” diameter x 1.5” thick.

Location: Sperryville, VA
