Scottish or Welsh Brass Andirons

$295.00

About: This whimsical pair of solid cast brass andirons likely hail from either Scottland or Whales. We’ve seen them referred to as “summer” andirons due to the diminutive side. This pair dating to the mid-industrial revolution, around 1830. The brass is on the soft side though thickly cast in form.

Why We Love It: Excellent form, scale and patina. This pair retains a modified or shortened log holder arm bracket, perfect for faux fireplaces or ones that have been filled in over the years.

Condition: Very nice condition with nicks and dings as shown. No breaks or cracks.

Dims: 8” H x 8” W x 5” D

Location: Philadelphia, PA
