Pairpoint Glass Candlestick

About: Handblown clear lead glass candlestick manufactured c.1974 by Pairpoint (Massachusetts). Pairpoint is America’s oldest glass manufacturer, still in production to this day. This example with nicely balanced knops and gadrooned upper knop. The base is chunky and pontil mildly rough.

Why We Love It: Good is always good: this is an elegant form, pure in expression. A duplicate example is on view in Corning’s Museum of Glass (accession No. 74.4.116)

Condition: Excellent, free of chips or repairs

Dims: 9” H x 5” Diameter at base
