About: This English mahogany cellarette lidded canister was originally likely used for cooling bottles of wine. It may have also been used as a tea caddy and dates to the early 19th Century.
Why We Love It: No matter what its intended original use, this lovely heavily patina-ed lidded box would look stately on a sideboard or buffet. It would also look quite gorgeous paired with a flower arrangement.
Condition: She’s seen some use! This piece has a warm glowing patina and signs of age: splitting corners, very old scratches and a nick here and there. The brass corners are all strongly intact. Checkout the wear on the bottom!
