Ancient Three Legged Stool
About: This is an amazing little three legged milk stool dating to the early 19th century. It’s dense (likely old growth) walnut with oak legs and perhaps saw daily use for the first 150 years of its life. There is a thumb hole and three legs that are through tenoned.
Why We Love It: This piece has a deep Japanese wabi sabi vibe to it and the amount of use it must have seen to achieve this polished patina is incredible to see. Very tactile quality to it.
Condition: Excellent as shown. No evident repairs or breaks.
