Hammered Copper Ceiling Pendant

$0.00
Sold

About: This early 20th Century hammered copper pendant has been tinned, a chemical process of adding a layer of tin to the surface (think french copper cookware). The original cloth covered wire dates to the 30s so perhaps this piece started its life as copper then later a tin finish was added.

Why We Love It: This piece has a Swedish Grace vibe with moody dark grey finish. That, when combined with the fluted shade, petal shaped canopy and lower escutcheon make for a bit of seriousness and frivolity. The look could be French, Swedish or Arts & Crafts…lots of possibilities.

Condition: Lovely grey patina with no repairs or cracks. The piece should be re-wired for safety. (we can probably do that for a modest upcharge, just shoot us an email).

Dims: 16” Overall Length x 12” Diameter shade. Canopy is 5.5” in diameter. 11” drop from canopy to shade

Location: Sperryville, VA
