Grand Tour Temples
About: A matched pair of Grand Tour temples depicting Zeus’ Temple in slate, fluted bronze columns and bronze ormolu dome, likely dating to the late 19th Century. These would have been collected as souvenirs from wealthy English and European’s “Grand Tour” travels in and around the Mediterranean.
The base and “roof” structure are slate while the columns, rotunda cap and cast figures of Zeus are bronze. Sold as a pair.
