Franklin Lion Radiator Cap Ornament

$0.00
Sold

About: A fierce lion previously a radiator cap / hood ornament on a 1920s Franklin now a lead-weighted paperweight. Cast in brass and finished with nickel, this guy has a lovely warm patina.

Inscribed at the base "Aura Vincent"' which translates to Air Conquers, a reference to the carmaker's air-cooled engines.

Why We Love It: This is not an especially rare form but the warm patina sets this example out from others. The fact that it’s now a weighted desk-topper makes for a functional gift.

Condition: Excellent condition, free of repairs.

Dims: 5.5” H

Location: Sperryville, VA
