Flame Mahogany Nesting Table Set

About: This is a set of four Edwardian period (c.1910) flame mahogany and satinwood nesting tables (or quartetto set) from England. Each is inlayed with contrasting flame mahogany veneer and boxwood lining that runs the perimeter of each top as well as down the legs.

While the tops are highly prized flame veneer, it’s especially interesting to note that their substrate is also mahogany and of a single width board.

Why We Love It: These tables are so visually delicate and with out-swept feet, they look as if they are dancing! The delicate inlay and vivid grain patterns are especially luxurious.

Condition: The tops are bright and vivid with some buckling to the inlaid veneer in places. There is not veneer loss to the tops but some chipping at the edges. The penultimate smallest table is missing a rear stretcher. Some of the legs have warped over time. Priced accordingly.

Dims: Largest table 20” W x 12.5” D x 28” H

Location: Sperryville, VA
