About: After famed Renaissance sculptor Jean de Bologne, known as Giambologna, comes this bronze of Mercury on round slate plinth with lower frieze motifs in bronze. The Mercury figure is blown from the mouth of Boreas, the god of north wind & winter.
This piece hails from France, late 19th century

Condition: Excellent free of breaks or repairs. Some small flea bites to the lower slate plinth. Mercury’s caduceus is intact (often missing)
