About: This handsome and seldom seen English linen press c.1850 is constructed with an oak case and pine secondary woods. Two drawers over two with an impressive screw mechanism that raises and lowers a pressing platen.

Condition: This is a functional piece and has seen some use! It retains a warm patina throughout. The screw mechanism raises and lowers the upper platen nicely though with a little help (she is 150+ years old after all). Two pulls have losses as shown. Some worm holes hear and there add to the character.
Dims: 39” W x 20.5” D x 36” H, with screw raised: 88” H overall.
