About: This 19th Century woven rye grass bowl was collected in Pennsylvania at a barn sale in Lancaster County where it likely spent its entire life. The rye grass is bound together with split ash strands and woven in a coil method.
Why We Love It: The bowl, while very old, retains a soft supple texture owing to the construction materials and method. The grass and binding have taken on a lovely patina. The perfect farmhouse table centerpiece.
