About: C.1930 "disko" metal elephant bookends by Just Andersen (Denmark) and manufactured by Guldsmeds. Warm green/bronze patina and in stellar condition. Each marked. Perfect addition to your moody paneled library or cigar lounge.
Disko metal is an alloy of lead and antimony, invented by Andersen and named after the Disko Bay in Greenland where Andersen spent his childhood.
