About: This is a mid 19th Century former case clock body turned wall mount cabinet, constructed of burled elm. The highly figured hinged door reveals storage via fixed shelves to the interior. The entire unit was likely lovingly refinished at the time of conversion and has a beautiful homogeneous tone which highlights the use of distinguished woods.

The case features highly figured crown molding, book-matched door panel and bold corner column details.

The piece most likely started its life originally as a provincial morbier style clock from France.

Why We Love It: It never crossed our mind to reconfigure an old case clock into a wall cabinet, but we love it! The trim and corner pilasters are vivid in grain and the finish is smooth yet rich.

Condition: Excellent refinished (ages ago) condition. Door operates smoothly and wall hanger is sturdy and intact. A very sturdy piece all around.

Dims: 17” Wide x 8” Deep x 39.5” Tall

Location: Sperryville, VA
