Artist's Studio Ladder Stool
About: This sweet little solid wood stool is painted in matte red and functionally has seen use as both stool and side table. The seat is composed of three planks while the rungs and legs are dowels.
Why We Love It: Red is always a good color for making a statement while the stool’s structure has an architectural appearance with the X bracing and dowel footrests in alternating positions. The height is perfect for use as counter stool or side table. The paint accumulation to the top leads us to believe it was used in an artist studio…..and it might even make a great posing perch for a nude model!
Condition: The painted surface shows lots of wear and accumulation. As a functional piece of furniture, the stool is fairly sturdy but we wouldn’t recommend standing on it. There is a little wobble likely due to wood shrinking at the joints from time.
