Sold

About: Edwardian period English brass & bronze candlesticks that double as tavern bells to let your host / server know you require attention!

This pair with fine detailing, knops and scribed lines. The bells are cast in bronze while the candlestick bodies are brass. Sold as a pair.

Why We Love It: We can imagine overnighting at an Inn in the Cotswolds and alerting the innkeeper to our arrival with these. Prior to finding this pair, we had never heard of these sweet relics. The brass detailing is so very English and the bell ‘ding’ is calming and pleasant. Besides, who doesn’t love elegant form AND functionality?

Condition: They have been in use and kept polished for most of their lives. They remain in excellent condition, free of cracks or repairs. Of note, their little metal bell arm remain intact (most examples we see have usually lost this part)

Dims: 12.5” H x 6” Diameter at the base.

Location: Philadelphia, PA
